Join Resolve Divorce as a Paralegal and play a vital role supporting our legal team across a wide range of legal, client, and administrative work. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on structure, precision, and people—someone who takes real pride in helping things run smoothly and supporting life-changing outcomes behind the scenes. If you love legal admin and want to do meaningful work in a warm, values-led firm—this could be your next move.
Who's hiring?
We’re Resolve Divorce—South Australia’s leading specialist family law firm. Recognised nationally as one of Australia’s fastest-growing law firms—and named Australia’s Best Boutique Law Firm in 2023—we’re known not just for what we do, but how we do it. We’ve supported thousands of people through divorce with clarity and care—redefining what meaningful support looks like during divorce. It’s the Resolve Way: advocating for personal transformation and positive divorce outcomes for families, not just legal wins. From our certified Divorce Coaches to our dedicated Client Services team, everything we do is designed to help clients feel supported, empowered, and ready to rebuild. Now, we’re looking for a capable, proactive Paralegal to join our team and support the lawyers and clients who rely on us every day.
So, what's the role?
This is a hands-on, collaborative role that combines legal administration with client service and general office operations. You’ll work closely with our legal team to prepare documents, manage files, coordinate court processes, and assist with everything from disclosure to document execution. Whether it’s filing court documents, supporting a team member, or simply making sure no detail gets missed, you understand that every task is an opportunity to help someone feel seen, safe, and supported—at a time they need it most. You’ll report to the General Manager – Strategy and be a go-to resource across the team—someone who brings professionalism, precision, and purpose to everything you do.
Here’s what a typical week might look like:
- Drafting and preparing court documents, briefs, case outlines, and legal correspondence
- Assisting with disclosure, discovery, and document collation in line with Family Law Rules
- Supporting lawyers with matter management, file compliance, and diary coordination
- Liaising with clients to gather information, provide updates, and maintain strong communication
- Coordinating with external stakeholders like the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia
- Filing and serving documents through the court portal—always on time and correctly formatted
- Managing document execution, e-signatures, and version control
- Supporting counsel with court books, chronologies, and brief preparation
- Assisting with legal research, maintaining precedents, and supporting mediations and court dates
- Helping to maintain LEAP files, manage deadlines, and ensure compliance
- Covering reception when needed—because we’re a team and we show up for each other
You’re a highly organised legal admin professional who loves detail, structure, and making things work smoothly. You take pride in a well-prepared court book, a tidy matter file, and a grateful team who trusts you implicitly. You're emotionally intelligent, client-aware, and ready to support a high-performing legal team doing important work. And let’s be honest—you’re not trying to be a solicitor; you’re happiest supporting the work from behind the scenes.
What you bring (on paper):
- Experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or in a legal admin role (bonus points for family law)
- A strong understanding of court procedures and legal documentation
- High proficiency in LEAP, MS Office, and other legal admin software
- Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
- A strong eye for detail and the ability to spot errors a mile away
- Confidence working directly with clients and managing sensitive matters with care
- Solid time management and the ability to meet strict deadlines with ease
- Calm under pressure—you know how to prioritise and get things done, even when it’s busy
- Team-oriented—you support your colleagues and step in when help is needed
- Proactive—you don’t wait to be told what’s needed, you’re already on it
- Self-motivated—you take ownership and pride in your work
- Thoughtful and kind—you understand that even small details make a big difference
- A values-led team that cares deeply about what they do (and each other)
- A supportive and kind workplace where your contributions are noticed and valued
- Meaningful work with purpose, supporting a law firm that does things differently
- A beautifully designed office in Adelaide and a team you’ll be proud to work with.
