Who's hiring?
We’re Resolve Divorce—South Australia’s leading specialist family law firm. Recognised nationally as one of Australia’s fastest-growing law firms—and named Australia’s Best Boutique Law Firm in 2023—we’re known not just for what we do, but how we do it. We’ve guided thousands through divorce with clarity, care, and courage. It’s the Resolve Way: we advocate for personal transformation and positive outcomes for families—not just legal wins. Our model blends deep legal expertise with genuine human care, backed by certified Divorce Coaches and a dedicated Client Services team. Now, as our firm continues to grow, we’re looking for a Senior Solicitor who brings strategic thinking, strong technical capability, and the kind of presence that puts clients at ease—someone who believes in empowering people through divorce, not just representing them.
So, what's the role?
This is a hands-on, client-facing role for Senior Solicitor who’s confident in managing their own matters across the full spectrum of family law. Reporting to the Legal Team Manager, you’ll represent clients with professionalism and integrity, providing accurate legal advice while supporting the bigger picture—like helping them focus on what's important. You’ll be responsible for everything from drafting and negotiations to court representation, collaborating with colleagues and external providers to ensure clients receive the most holistic support available. That includes developing detailed matter plans, maintaining file compliance, keeping clients informed and supported at every step, and ensuring all advice is socially responsible, practical, and tailored to their real needs. You’ll also play a proactive role in shaping your own profile, contributing to business development, networking initiatives, and the growth of your personal and professional brand. And importantly—you’ll practise in line with the Resolve Way, supporting clients with clarity, empathy, and the understanding that every matter is about more than just legal resolution.
Here’s what a typical week might look like:
- Managing your own client matters across all areas of family law, with autonomy and accountability
- Drafting and settling court documents, correspondence, agreements, and legal advice
- Representing clients in negotiation, mediation, and court settings
- Collaborating with our legal, admin, and client services teams to deliver seamless, high-quality outcomes
- Using LEAP to manage matter files, trust accounting, court deadlines, review dates, and document execution
- Briefing Counsel, preparing court books, discovery, and managing disclosure in line with Family Law Rules
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legal changes and compliance requirements
- Following all standard protocols for new client consults, engagement packs, fixed fees, and matter planning
- Referring clients to Resolve’s trusted network of support services to ensure holistic care
- Contributing to firm-wide initiatives, from precedent development to thought leadership
- Actively participating in marketing, referrer engagement, and brand-building initiatives
- Managing your own billing, trust accounting, and compliance in line with firm processes
- Attending team meetings, CPD sessions, and events that contribute to professional growth.
- Engaging with the broader legal community through board participation, awards submissions, and community representation
