PMB Defence is a world leading manufacturer of submarine battery systems, which started delivering and supporting the main storage batteries for Australia’s Collins Class Submarines in 1989. PMB Defence has now grown its business by winning various local and international contracts (supplying both traditional as well as new technology submarine battery systems) to Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom and other international customers by specialising in lead acid, nickel zinc and lithium battery system solutions.

Chief Technology & Engineering Officer

This is a newly created senior leadership role for an experienced technical expert who thrives on the intersection of product innovation, R&D, and high-stakes delivery. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll be the technical conscience of PMB Defence — providing engineering oversight, technical authority, and strategic leadership across our most critical projects. Your focus? Ensuring the technology we develop (and the products we build) work exactly as they should — when it matters most.

Senior Manager — IT & Cyber Security

This is a newly created position — giving you the scope to shape it, elevate the IT function, and set the tone for how technology supports and secures the business. We need a leader who can think strategically and roll up their sleeves. Someone who can present to the Board with confidence, then work side-by-side with the team to troubleshoot, refine processes, and deliver critical projects.
