Who’s hiring?
Oreon Partners is a full-service accounting and advisory firm based in one of Adelaide’s most beautiful heritage buildings— the iconic Oreon House on Dequetteville Terrace in Kent Town. Inside, you’ll find a team of brilliant individuals providing tailored accounting, advisory, and financial planning services to individuals and businesses across greater Adelaide, South Australia, and beyond. Our goal is simple: build lasting relationships, focus on growth, and set our clients up for long-term success. We’ve spent over 40 years proving that great people make a great firm… and judging by how long our team stays, we must be onto something. Oreon are now looking for two Senior Accountants to join the organisation and work directly with the Managers and Partners.

So, what’s the role?
As Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for the preparation of client work with a strong skillset in accounting, compliance and technical tax knowledge. Work independently, managing personal KPIs and professional development are vital attributes as well as an ability to demonstrate the values of Oreon through interactions with team members and clients. The Senior Accountant will provide support, guidance and training to undergraduates, graduates and accountants in the team. It is also important that a Senior Accountant continue to develop technical and other skills by identifying opportunities for clients, networking and professional development.

Here’s what a typical week might look like:

  • Preparation of compliance-based work including but not limited to financial statements, income tax returns, activity statements.
  • Prepare client work independently being able to problem solve and research.
  • Demonstrate strong skillset of accounting and compliance knowledge with the ability to prepare and review.
  • High level of technical tax knowledge with strength in general tax issues.
  • Cash flow preparation and analysis, general business analysis, tax and business structure, different industries and instructing solicitors.
  • Liaise with clients at the discretion and direction of the Managers and Partners.
  • Provide instruction and review compliance-based work prepared by other accountants.
Enough about us let's talk about whether this role is for you!

We’re looking for someone who:
  • Is CA or CPA qualified with experience in public practice accounting.
  • Has a strong professional network and a reputation for delivering excellent client outcomes.
  • Balances technical skill with genuine warmth and approachability.
  • Can lead by example—setting the bar for professionalism, client service, and commercial thinking.
  • Is confident in managing personal workflow and strong communication with the team.
What’s in it for you?
  • A competitive salary and clear career pathway.
  • Work in a stunning heritage building just minutes from the CBD.
  • Join a close-knit, supportive culture where your contributions are noticed and valued.
  • Be mentored by experienced partners who are invested in your career progression.
  • Ongoing training provided both in-house and external.
  • Join a company with exceptionally low turnover— where people don’t just work, they build their careers.
